My intermittent starting issue started about 3 to 4 years ago. I have 52,000 miles on the bike. Sometimes when trying to start it won't crank. Everything goes dim. Other times it's like nothings wrong, cranks and starts just fine. New battery, new relay, new hand grip starter switch and new starter. Pulled and cleaned all the grounds under the seat that are bolted to the frame. Solenoid wire from relay to solenoid looks good. I did put a solenoid push button on the solenoid and it starts with that every time. If I try and start and everything goes dim, I can push the solenoid button just enough to move the starter a small amount, then try the hand grip start button and it will crank over just fine. I also tried banging the handle bars back and forth thinking it mite be a loose connection under the fairing when it won't start and keep hitting the hand grip start button. Didn't help. I am at my wit's end with this issue. Anyone have any idea whats going on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
