2007 FLHTCU SE Compensator

If you can afford a few extra bucks go with the Baker unit. On my 08 RK I replaced the stock comp when it failed with a SE comp. When that started to fail after 30,000 miles I installed the new and improved SE comp your looking at with the glue in plastic oil diverter. I think you will need a new rotor to make it work as well if yours is still stock. When that started to make noise after 40,000 miles I bit the bullet and installed the Baker unit. Much quieter unit and hopefully it's going to hold

I'm using that new compensator in mine and like BB59 says you will need the new rotor and glue in the deflector. Unfortunately H-D won't sell the adhesive or applicators anymore, but they are available online through other sources. I believe JB Weld or any other oil and heat resistant heavy duty epoxy will work as there is not a whole lot of pressure on that deflector. I am sure that you could probably take the primary cover in to the dealer and as long as you buy the compensator kit from them, they should be able to glue the deflector in for you.
On mine it is noisy when cold at idle, but quiets down after that. No other problems so far.

The glued in deflector is actually well made and once glued in, it aint comin' out. There seems to be a misunderstanding about the deflector, buts its unfounded as there is not a lot of oil pressure there, plus it won't move or break off anyway. At least not with the specified glue.
