Try ebay, parts pop up on there once in awhile. Try part # 61959-00. That's a filter only, no hoses. I have a 2000 and I have been hoarding replacment parts. I tried to cross reference the filter from another application and didn't have any results.

Wink

According to the parts website I prefer Dan is right: #61959-00 FUEL FILTER, if you just want the service part.

Gonna see if I can make this work.

Here's the 2002-2007 filter... http://www.jpcycles.com/product/126-424
Other than fitting in the stock bracket, it would probably do the job ..

I compared the 02+ filter to the 00+. The 02 is smaller. The 02 filter the shorter end slips into the pressure regulator. That end might be to short to attach a hose. I didn't try to adapt one because the MM filter was still available (at triple the price).
You should also replace both internal fuel lines while you're in the tank, and get the plate gasket. All available through Drag Specialties or JP.
You may want to check with a independent shop. I have a few local Drag Specialties dealers that will knock a few bucks off the price, and get me the parts in a few days.
Good luck with your endeavor.

Looks like it will work. Had to drill out the hole in the rubber piece the small nipple goes through to make the shoulder on new filter fit. There's no groove for the ground clip to snap into but it fits snug on the shaft and the fuel line should hold it in place. Used the crimp clamps that came with the filter and they just fit. Hose clamps I had would have been to big.

You can probably use a couple of zip ties to help hold it in place too.

Post some pictures of how & what you're doing to mount the filter. Us '00-'01 owners want to know!
