Street Glide rear shocks on 2015 ultra limited?
I have a 2015 ultra limit, not riding as much as I once did and have removed the trunk except for trips. The bike basically looks like a street glide with some exceptions, the center of gravity on the street glide feels lower. Getting a street glide off the side stand is noticeably easier/lighter then the ultra. I was thinking of replacing the ultra rear shocks with those on the street glide since I've been told that those shocks are one inch shorter then the ultra's. Has anyone done this, is there any difference in the bike? Comments pro/con welcome.

Done all of the time to lower it you get about 3/4 to 1 inch. You lose a little on ride no other real noticeable difference unless you race it professionally on a track.
If you plan to use the air shocks changing to oil to a Slightly heavier oil will support a little more weight. But you must do it right . Not all that hard. No where near as hard as they make it out to be.

I've had tree SG. All went to the taller shock. Better ride & 2 up with tour pack no bottom out. My 2012 SG has tall shock with 1" lower kit, Great. My 2017 FLHXS has quick release tour pack also. I put the tall air shock with the the 1" lowering block on the 2017 FLHXS. It great. The Harley short premium shock that the 2017SG came with is a stiff little SOB. If I was you I'd use the lowering kit 1", no more or don't mess with it. lower looks cool but won't handle as good. It can affect trailers, useing a jack, platform lifts, 2" could tear wiring out. Should't sacrifice function for looks, but men have been doing this with women since the beging of time. Haha!
