Question Breakaway Cruise Control

Anyone using a Breakaway Cruise Control, (http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/br...1/part/BAW-MCC), have negative opinions? I can guess what they might be, but I'd like pros/con's from actual users. Apparently my '04 RK is too old for an actual cruise. Thanks.

I had it on my 2006 Stratoliner. It worked well and would disengage when you hit the front brake. That's the only real advantage to it. It's just a fancy throttle lock. I have been thinking of getting this one

Actually, cc was an option for three RK then. A friend has an 03 RK with factory cc.
You used to be able to get the parts to add it on but I don't think you can anymore. It was very expensive anyway.
If you really want factory style cc you could maybe call some of the mc salvage yards and maybe get the parts that way.

I had one on a Kawasaki motorcycle that I ride for several years. It worked great, and did exactly what it was supposed to do. The only con is that you have to add juice when you're going up an incline, and pull off some juice when you're descending. Otherwise, I liked it!

I had one on a Honda ST1300 a few years ago. No complaints it worked well for what it was.

I have looked at this too, I have a friend who uses one on his Honda Shadow. It works really slick, but according to the website it doesn't work with fly by wire applications.

I have a brakeaway on my switchback, for what it is it works GREAT!!
gives your wrist a rest on long runs and you can adjust when locked in
place so when you go up hill more throttle and when you go down hill
can back it off on level roads it holds it nice and steady

check ebay I was able to score mine for $70 shipped and a $20
screw package from brakeaway as a couple screws were buggered
on the one I bought
