Simplify your life, the M8 RK rules.
Twizted always cuts to the chase. That's what most of us RK riders think. That, and we don't like fairings.

(But, I guess because my father grew up in Iowa, I've always heard it as "useless as **** on a boar.")

You know its funny I LOVED the look of the Road King. I've had a lot of bikes over the years and it was the best looking bike I've ever owned, and it always got comments everywhere I went. It was a cool bike!

I took quite a few test rides on the Street Glide at different events at my Dealer and it just always felt like it fit me better, everything was just a little more comfortable on it, I felt like it handled better - and while its only my opinion, I thought the buffeting and wind management was better on it (which isn't a big deal on a 100 mile day, but I like to take my vacations on my bike - and day after day of bobbleheading for 350-450 miles gets old - again - for ME. Everyone is different)

I think that your gonna be happy with either one but the Glide to me, just has a little more going for it.

I had a RK and really liked that bike. The only reason I changed is for the fairing, radio and ABS at the time. To me the handling difference was not very noticeable. I have an EG classic which is set up basically as a SG. If you don't want a fairing or radio you pretty much answered your own question. Good luck
