Default heat and baffle

I have been doing some research on cooling down the ride of the 103's. I have noticed that some of the newer bikes are not coming with the fork baffle. I had rode my ultra about 2 hours to see my dads new to him 2013 tri glide. He had me ride it when I got there because he was complaining about the excess heat. The first thing I noticed was all of the wind coming up from around the tank. So I started investigating the cause and found that the fork baffle is not standard on some of the newer bikes. Got me wondering if this could be part of the heat problems felt on some of the newer touring bikes. I am going to order 1 and see if it helps. We already have a big sucker air cleaner ready to go on. I plan on putting on new exhaust and see where we are with the heat. It has power commander already so I can richen her up a little.Anyone else find anything that really made a difference to rider felt heat? I saw the crotch cooler, but that is not where the heat is a problem. The heat I felt was coming up behind my calf on the right side and causing the wifes foot to get extremely hot. Any tried and true solutions would be great. Thanks for the ideas.

Fork baffles haven't come standard for many years now. I installed one on my 04 and then moved it to my 08 when I traded up.

If the heat is down on your right calf you probably are feeling that from the Cat .. You may want to see how to remove it,plenty of threads here ..

Removing the cat will make a big difference in getting the heat out of there
