Blew out the rear tire with about 2500 miles. Any newer tires out there that people are real happy with

i'm happy with the michellin commander ii's. some people say they're too hard and give a rough ride, but i think they're fine.
side question, has anyone had experience with continental conti-tours or conti-legend?

I've been happy with the Dunlop American Elite 3.
What are you currently running? Any complaints about that particular tire?

black, round, made out of rubber, properly inflated. less than 5 years old.
those are my criteria. Otherwise any brand name will work. I avoid brands like "Bob's bubble up rubber company tires"

I heard recently that Metzler was coming out with a new compound for their touring tire. Always a good brand, might want to check and see if its out yet.
