Default Commander II tires for my 2012 FLHX

Traded from a 2008 RKC to a 2012 FLHX and will need tires soon. Had commander II's on the RKC and loved them. My Indy mechanic said I should go with Dunlops for this wide tire bike because of their run flat or no blow-out ability. It has HD Dunlops on it now and they are a harder riding tire than the Commander II - which had a smoother/softer feel. I think I would rather stay with the Commanders for ride quality. All opinions and experiences welcome. Thanks !

On 3rd season with MC II's. Love them. Good on handling, mileage and road snakes. Also had Dunlops as oem....

I have commander II's on my 12 flhx and love them. I ride aggressive and have 21000 miles on the rear and lots of tread left.

Thanks all !! I think I'll stick with Michelins. My Indy must make more off the Dunlops. LOL

In this order IMO
Dunlop American Elites
Avon Cobra Ultra
CII's
Metz 888 Ultra

I base this on all features, benefits, experience, and price.
When I buy, it's from Dennis Kirk or Jake Wilson
This is based on freshness of tires, service, price and selection.

Had MCII's on a previous bike. Will be going back to them on the first change of the OEM Dunlop's.
