Default Fullsac heat shield question...

I did a search here on the Fullsac dual exhaust conversion kit because I'm considering going that route. Some of the older posts from the later part of last decade mentioned a 24" heat shield available from Harley Goodies so you don't have to butt two of your existing heat shields together on the longer brake side run.

Harley Goodies' website doesn't show this as a part they have...

Anybody know if and where this part would be available?

Thanks.

Just send Harley Goodies an email regarding the heat shield for the FullSac conversion. They will then send you a PayPal invoice for about 60 bucks (I think that was the price) for the shield. I have no idea why they just don't list it on their website. I bought one and have it on my bike with the FullSac conversion. Looks far better than trying to make 2 heat shields work.

Love mine, could feel the difference in the seat of my pants after the install. Don't really notice not having a 24" shield. Then again I never look that low.

You might try the fulsac with the factory heat shields first. They really dont look that bad following fulsac's instructions.

I just couldn't get them to fit like they said, one of the clamps always seemed to be in the way. Love the Harley goodies heat shield, quality stuff!

Hmm... maybe I'll try the stock shields then. Do the pipes have to come back off again if I change my mind and decide to go to the 24" one later?
Thanks again for the replies, guys.

I have the Fullsac conversion and like it. On the heat shield, I think all you have to do is remove the clamps and heat shields. I looked at the 24" and thought it was a little pricey. Haven't had any one ask about the heat shields so I just leave it alone.

The heat shields will come off without removing the pipes. Cant say how the new ones will go on for sure but likely will go on without removing the pipes also.
