Looking to get rid of the lousy stock horn for something louder. Is there something decent out there that will fit under the stock cowbell. What do you guys suggest for an attention getting horn.

Thanks

i had an old stabel auto horn laying around i think it is high note, harley horns are low note.installed it behind the right side cover with relay .both horns work with the stock switch and its alot louder then just the harley horn.this is an effectively cheap upgrade that works.i may be backwards on that low/high note thing i can't remember.but anyway its a duel note, duel horn system now that works well.

For free, you could try cleaning and adjusting your stock horn. They are quite loud when they are working correctly.

You don't mention what year you have, but late model stock horns are much louder than the early ones.

That has been my experience. Have replaced the horn on my Road King a few times. The latest horn I put on was noticeably louder and has lasted much longer than any other I have had.

I put Piaas on mine. Mounted on tank bolts. Very loud. Left the old one on. I think a newer stock one would be your only option if you want it behind the chrome cover.
