Spare antenna cable

While clearing out the ants that I found in the tour pack I noticed another antenna cable. One went to the radio antenna and the other cable was just laying there. Is that for if I want to disconnect the CB antenna and put another radio antenna on?

To me looks like the CB antenna lead laying loose and the FM is connect, Do you have FM reception?

Yes the FM is hooked up on the left side of the pic. The loose one looks just like the FM one.

I'm still surprised about the "cleaning out the ants" part!

Bike was under the cover for the past few days due to rain. When I took cover off yesterday I noticed ants on the tour pack. I started looking around and pulled the side of the liner out and looked down and saw all of the ants. Pulled liner out and sprayed ant spray to kill them then vacuumed them out.

Bike sat for 5 months from previous owner. I guess with the rain and heat being under the cover it caused the ants to start moving around I assume

Are you the original owner?
If not my guess is it's a bad cable that a P.O. replaced and just left the old one.
You could always swap them and see if the reception suffers.
Odd about the ants. Was there anything to attract them?
