Default Street parking for your scoot

How many have to keep their scoot outside? We don't have a garage and have to keep my scoot on the street.

wow that sux. mine has only spent the night outside while I am on the road. I would use a cover 100% of the time. Do you use a lock other than the steering?

Only when on the road and I worry the entire time. Get up several times a night to check on her.

No I have not gotten an extra lock yet. I am also looking for the siren for the smart system to add to it. It stays under the cover unless I am riding it.

I had to keep all my bikes outside over a 30 year span In Hollywood Ca no less Never a problem. But never on the street. Since have moved and have one spot in the garage I had kept mine covered For a bit I had a cycle shed, liked it But thought it drew too much attention Got rid of it when a homeless guy wanted to live in it !

Are you more worried about security, accidental damage or the effects of being out in the elements?

Kinda both. I have a waterproof cover that keeps it dry. My neighbor had his vespa stolen about a week ago so that has me worried a little noe. We live on a hill so no way to get bike off street.

As far as security, you'll have to work that out.

On the cover...you may want to use the waterproof cover when rain is eminent, but you use a breathable water resistant cover after the rain (or all other times). You don't want to trap moisture inside

just a suggestion

My bike is out in front of my house. No garage to park in, so that is my only option. It gets ridden everyday, and wiped down when dirty.

Not to sound like a jerk, but if they want your bike, they will get it. Make sure you have insurance. As far as the elements, the sun is your worst enemy. I would keep it covered.
