Lowering FLHTP - keeping police seat

I have a 2012 FLHTP with the police seat, which I like how it rides and looks. I sit up way high and I am thinking about lowering the bike.

If I dropped the rear 2", would I need to do something up front? How would any of this impact the ride? What are the different options to lower the front?

Do Streetglides have a lowered front with their 1" dropped rear?

I also attempted to do a search, but got more confused...

There's a lot of info on police bike mods on retired police bikes forum

you can drop the rear

it will affect the ride...right now you have 2.75" of suspension travel... sg's have 1.75"
that is where they get the 1" lowered rear- a stiff harsh jouncy ride.

you can also try lowering blocks

you need to remember to adjust the belt tension

you may scrape and turning is affected

FLHX models stock have same front end you have
