AC fitment question

hey fellas,
I am looking at an Arlen Ness 10-Gauge Inverted Big Sucker for my 15 Road Glide and came across a used one that the guy had on his 14 Softail both 103.

They do have a different part # BUT will the Softail AC fit the touring bike?

appreciate the help.

I am thinking this must be a pretty stupid question with no replies :-)

I looked for you on the HD website and they are not compatible, atleast according to their fitment guide.

Thanks guys,

Some AC's from Touring will work on Softails and vice versa, the part I am looking at?? I call tomorrow to find out exactly why not.

Check out the Heavy breather for example

different throttle body likely.

this was the case for many model years- touring had TBW, some other models had cable throttle, different size throttle body

for a regular BS the best price is often easternpc on ebay/amazon

If the Softail was a TBW bike, the AC would fit. However, with it being a cable operated bike, you would have to find something with a matching backing plate.

Thanxs everyone for the info,

Tryng to save a few $$$ as the Ness AC is about $500 cdn, things don't always work out :-)

longrideshields-2,
I am using your 10 inch stingray on my 15 Road glide, works excellent.

Thanxs
Colin
