Reverse Kit for Ultra Glide 5 speed

I have one on my 5-speed, 04 RK. Mine is a Mototrike unit, which is typical of what you see on ebay for about a grand. You can find them a few times a year as uninstalled kits for about half that. Which is what I got, an uninstalled kit.
It took me several tries to get it all installed and working correctly. Kits of this type all push the exhaust and floorboard out almost an inch. Mine had permatex gloped into the mechanism, which required me to take it off the bike and all apart to clean it up and make it work right. The second round involved the shift lever slipping on the shaft. Permatex red finally got it to hold still.
Biggest generic gripe I have is the gear ratio. It's way too tall for a reverse. The ratio is just under 2nd gear.
I did not use the electrical interlocks. Mine is just a mechanical install. If I bind it into two gears, that's on me. Which I do deliberately sometimes to reduce the crashing of engagement, and I did it once because I forgot. The bike wouldn't move as I was engaging the clutch. I figured it out quickly and then took off.
Baker's transmission gear reverse uses a different ratio as I recall, and is lower. Of the gearbox reverses, theirs is the one I like the best. It's also the most expensive. Yelvington has a reversing pulley you bolt onto the rear wheel. That one has the lowest ratio of all, seems nifty, and is the most expensive reverse I know of.
While there were teething pains getting mine squared away, I am all in all quite happy to have a reverse. Short legs and adventurious riding make it all but a necessity for me.

Possibly the slickest set up I am aware of. And easy to reverse if you sell the bike.
