Yep ... I agree with this... if a radial you will see the belt shifting around inside after a while. Might be what your seeing now. Certainly separation.

Ordered a new one via Dennis Kirk. Sending the blistered one back and have to wait 2-3 weeks for the warranty refund.

I have had excellent dealings with Dennis Kirk. I suspect you'll be refunded.

Damn. My bike handles like crap when down a few lbs..... Wonder how well your bike would handle a twisty once that blister popped.....

I will have to stand corrected. Copied this from dictionary.com "a sudden bursting or rupture of an automobile tire. "

I was always taught that a blowout was the tube blowing its way through a hole in the tire and expanding/exploding. Just goes to show that even at 64 years old, you are still not too old to learn.......

BTW, even knowing this, I STILL refuse to ride on a tire with a tube.......

YMMV

definitely a warranty issue (to me). Replace immediately.

How is the tire balanced? did you use Dynabeads or RideOn? if so that will void a tire warranty. (Metz, Dunlop, guessing others)

It will be replaced. Balanced with wheel weights.

Get a credit and change over to Commanders. Dunlops suck, that are better than they use to be, but the Michelin Commanders are the best tires available currently. Just saying...
