08 FLHTCU primary drive

Im doing a 107" upgrade to my FLHTCU and I would really like to change the primary over to belt to get rid of weight and noise of the chain and an upcoming compensator replacement. My preference is to find one that can be installed in the existing primary case if possible (2"?).
If anybody has any information on how to tackle this I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Fred

There's a reason that belt primaries are almost always open, and the reason that the HD Sturgis only lasted a year or two: heat is the enemy of the belt. And there's a reason that you almost never see a rubber band primary on touring bikes...you're gonna spend big bux for no benefit over a well sorted and maintained chain primary.

Stand by for more info by others on this...

Thanks
I did always run em open on my other bikes. This is my first touring bike.

Then you know! Over time, you'll spend a pretty penny on your primary if your experiences is like many in here. Other than regular maintenance and minor repairs, I've spent very little on mine over the years...might be similar for you!

On my 08 (anniversary, like yours), in the primary I run the -08A SE comp, EVO Industries 49 tooth ring gear conversion, -98A clutch spring and Hayden M6BT-07. Works well for me.

Im just getting a lot of noise it seems. Just put a new clutch in as well as a new tensioner and the bearing on the trans shaft.
