Turn Signal Problem....

Hello.

Went to work last night, everything worked fine. This morningI turn the ignition on and my leftturn signals flash. I cant cancel it with the left button, but I can with the right.Once cancelled,I tried to turn the left signals on and nothing.

I can get the hazzards to work by just holding the right turn signal button in for a second. Then I can cancel the hazzards with just the right button. The only way I can get the left signals to flash at allis to hold the right signal button in (hazards)or turn on the ignition.

Is this telling me that theleft turn signal is always on?? Stuck or badswitch?? I did change bars in the winterand ran the wire inside. Could a wire or two rubbed through??

I posted this on the tech side with no replies yet...

Any help would be great. Just want to check the easiest first.

Thanks in Advance.

RE: Turn Signal Problem....

I had basically the same problem with mine. The left signal would come on for no good reason and I had to use the right signal button to turn it off.It was worse when it was wet. Dealer changed switch out under warranty and I've had no more trouble.

RE: Turn Signal Problem....

Sounds like a bad switch or moreso a grounded wire in the bars for the left switch. I would first open up the switch housing on the left side to see if there is a pinched wire from the bar install before going nuts.
