That is the worst possible year for the Road King.

Just messing with you.

I bought an 05 flhrsi last year. I've only had 3 issues with mine (one you probably won't have). 1-Mine has an aftermarket batwing radio fairing and the power cuts out and then back on when I hit a really big bump. 2-the ignition switch lock got stuck and had to lube it up. 3-my miles are off (says I've traveled farther that I actually have).

I love my '06. Has given me great service. there were so many changes in '07 that a lot of '06s were traded back in or sold. It's the last year of the tc88 and the 5 speed. I think '06 had some type of charging system upgrade. It has the same heads as the '07 96ci engine. I think it was the only tc88 to have that. Only future concern would be the cam tensioners. They wear easily and and cause major damage if not resolved. Some had had problems as early as 25-30,000 miles. Some have gone plenty of miles with no trouble. I did the big bore kit on mine, 95ci and some cams. Couldn't be more pleased with it. Hope you enjoy yours.
