Let us know what they do for ya. Kinda sucks for all
your down time too (I have one bike, so any work being done means cage time). Maybe they will throw in some gear too. Hoping you have another bike to get on!

The '05s had an issue with the valve seals, when mine at 20,000 miles started burning oil, Harley warranted the valve seals. As they were pulling off the heads I said HEY, you aren't putting it back together with those tiny little pistons. (88") I bought jugs, pistons and rings and ***** G paid the rest.

yes because cycle works is full of unsubstantiated stories trashing the moco...pretty sure cycle world lawyers would steer clear of printing anything like that. Pretty sure if it's under warranty and the op follows the correct procedure he'll make out just fine...I'd push for that 110 upgrade to by the way.

More than likely you will get a new set of jugs and pistons and the old set will go back to the MOCO just as they came from the bike for "inspection". It would be a fair deal and make your bike as it should be.

Unfortunately it's an easy mistake to make even long time experienced builders occasionally slip up, done it myself.

Not trying to start an argument but I think you are forgetting a factor in the bike down...TIME
It is valuable

The tech who worked on it wasn't all that surprised, either.
That's unbelievable!

Isn't that the truth! Tact is a skill that is quickly fading in this "I" "Me" world.

OP- Good luck with requesting a 110" replacement; that would go a long ways to compensating for the inconvenience.
