The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

If anything, the fact that market leader Andrews actually manufacturers the Wood cams is a good thing, we know they're coming from a high quality source.
I'm definitely not trying to be a Wood Cams fan boy, but my experience has been very good with both Wood and Fuel Moto, I feel compelled to share as I too did a ton of research here and want to give back based on my real world experience.

B Bop I've only rode a bike with an m8 engine and never had one apart. What I can tell you is the m8 is a single cam engine that pushes 8 valves. 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder. The m8 also has 4 spark plugs, two per cylinder which gives a more complete and even burn to the air/fuel mixture. It's a completely different engine that a twin cam. Man, i had the same dilemma. I went all in on the FM 107 w/ heads, 777. I absolutely love the bike when she is running. I travel on long trips, i also ride hard and have no problem opening her up. I've had to do the crank, oil pump, 2 compensators(now on solid sproket), ive cracked 2 hayden ind. $4k into her and i haven't listed everything. My budget for other changes, stopped with the engine. I'd probably just do cam and stay there if i had to do it again

totally agree....and increased compression. After reading and participating in this thread, I'm not inclined to rip apart my 96 any time soon. I'd rather spend the time riding and fiddling with my new rear shocks.

SO, I'm curious..... what did you end up going with? I am in the same situation and think I am just doing cams, pushrods, and lifters .... and be done with engine upgrades. I was looking at the 222's or the 555's or possibly the Andrews 54h or 57h.
