Default 1996 Road King License Plate Relocation

Hey all! How ya doin?
Wife's RK is gonna get a bit of a facelift soon and one of the 1st things it needs is to get rid of that neon sign that is the license plate. How HD ever thought that was a good look, I'll never know, but I cannot agree.
Did some searching around the forum this morning, but didn't find much love on this subject. Also been googling around. Is there a kit or a workaround or do you folks have any ideas as to how I can pop that pimple? Pics would be great! Thanx much!

This is what I have on my 07 RK and I like it a lot.

But it is a little pricey. Just keep doing searches on license plate relocation to see other ideas.

I went with a sof t brake tag holder on my RK. U will also need a lay down rear lens with the tag light window at the bottom and an LED bulb as a normal bulb is to hot and close to the lens. I'm really happy with it. I hated nicking my fingers on the plate when I was tying luggage to the rack.

all in it was $100. But what isn't nowadays.

Thanx all. Hey Rev, I did a search for that bracket and J&P says they have 2 different styles. Which one did you use? Thanks again guys!

I got the one in the top pic U posted. I bought the lens and bulb from J&P. Make sure you get a red bulb. Clear Leds do not shine through a red lens like I thought they would.

So, I’m good to go Rev, with 1 exception. On her ‘96 where the plate mounts stock, that is welded on the wrap around bar behind the seat. I can get all this stuff you led me to, thanx for that BTW, but I still have that pimple on the back of the chrome bar behind the seat. What did you do about that?

That's exactly what I'm looking for my '09 FLHTC
Can't find it anywhere online, any help?

I didnt have that pimple on my 07. I left the hoop bar on the back as I have a custom "Police Interceptor" plate I bolt to the original tag holes. Sorry for the late response. I was away working. Sorry for the blurring. Pic was taken with my old Blackberry. But you get the gist of it
