Default Has anyone put on 10" Plasma Rods on Stock Bags

I know CD Website says to use 8" Plasma Rods for Stock Bags.
My Dealer went thru there dealer and got me 10" Plasma rods.

Anybody put 10" Plasma Rods on their stock bags?

Any drawbacks from this?

I just got done redoing my rear lights and plasma rods. I have 8" and they are perfect. If the 10" will fit in the area, I'd use them. I just installed a CD tri-bar and re-wired the plasma rods up to the connector rather than hook them up at the rear fender. There are some on line tutorials/you tube showing how. I love the extra light they provide.
Good Luck!!

I just measured the part of the fender, really looks like 10" will fit nice.

Does anyone think heat would be a concern?

i dont think so for the simple fact that they are made for that location, and if heat was a problem, they would of made them to get over this problem.

I installed the 8" rods and could not figure out why they said to use them instead of the 10's. They should work just fine.

Ehhh just didn't like the way it would sit, so they will be putting them on the saddle bags with a wire disconnect.

I have the bag lights on my 12 Road Glide. After being hit from behind last June I wouldn't be without CD lights on my bike. All are Run/Brake/Turn. The Triple Play for flashing.

I'm right there with ya. The more the better. Who cares what anyone thinks. I'd GO with the 10" parked you can't tell no have 7 brake lights. 3 turn signals per side.
