Default 2017 to 2012 touring rear wheel swap question

Sorry if i'm posting this in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put it.

I got a set of ABS wheels off of a 2017 ultra and I am wanting to put them on my non ABS 2012 EGC.
I know the bearings have to be changed, and I have already done so on the front wheel and have installed it on the bike. I know I have to also change the bearing on the rear wheel.
I have been searching all over the internet about the rear wheel and some say that the spacer sleeve between the bearings has to changed as well and others don't say anything about this needing changed.
I can't see why this would need done, but maybe there is something I don't know about it.
I currently have my rear wheel on my bike and I don't have a bearing puller (so i'll have to pay the have the bearings swapped) otherwise I would just take off my stock wheel and measure them.

Does anyone know if this needs changed before I pay to have the bearings changed only to find out that I have to go back and change the inner spacer?
Thanks

The inner sleeve doesn't have to be changed. If your swapping Bearing from one wheel to the other you'll be fine.

Look up the bearing puller/installer on ebay. They are not too expensive and you can use it over and over for yourself and your friends when they need new bearings. Just saying, I use mine a lot... for basically the same reason - rim changes.

Having problems.
Today I pulled my rear wheel and switched out the bearings (bought a bearing tool)
When I went to put the 2017 wheel on I can't fit the spacer (OEM 2012 spacer) in between the wheel and the caliper brace. It looks like the spacer is about .100 to long.
I finally got pissed and came in the house to take a break before I mess something up.
Tomorrow i'm planning to pull the whell back out and make sure I have the bearing seated all the way in (i'm sure that I do)
Anyone have any thoughts on what my problem might be with this?
Could I maybe need a spacer from a 2017 ultra to make it fit?
Hopefully it will not be anything big.

to answer these kinds of questions, go here: http://shop.outpostalaska.com/oempartfinder.htm#

if you compare the 2017 to the 2012, you'll find that they use the same spacer on the rotor side, 41242-08. and also on the other side, 11848.

so if they use the same parts, then it's something on your end. hope you get it figured out.

Thank you very much for the info. I was able to get my rear wheel on today.
I was wondering where to find the schematics at.
