Two dressers 7x16 enclosed trailer - Distance apart?
Greetings! I have two HD Ultra's I need to haul to Florida, And I bought a new 7x16 enclosed trailer with dual axles. And before I start drilling holes in my freshly painted floor and trailer I would like some input.
What would the best distance between the biles, know they will have to be offset to fit, at the same time allow for the best clearance from the walls and each other. I mocked up the bikes the best I could in my garage and came up with 37" between the tires (center to center) but I am thinking I want to get in a little closer maybe another inch, but getting some idea from others experience would be helpful.
Second of all, the weight distribution, right now I have one bikes (say the left one) rear wheel over the front axial and the right bike staggered back about 24" over the rear axle (rear tier). Again thoughts? Experience? Thank you in advanced!

I have a 7x16 vnose. Most important was the front to back offset so the handlebars clear each other. I use condor trailer chocks and I bolted them with an 18" offset, you can actually do a lot more with e 16 ft long trailer.
The side to side measurement is pretty simple, 7 feet wide total, 3.5 feet for each bike. Center the chock in each zone and you should be good to go. Make sure you bolt with big fender washers or metal strips under the floor for security. I also used 3 foot etrack for left, middle and right. It makes life a lot easier with adjustable anchor points.

We bought a 7x14 earlier this year and I put etrack on the floor. One on each side right on the wall and one down the center of the trailer. I then bought 2 condor chocks and their etrack adaptor. You can then stagger the bikes front to back and the etrack adaptor allows you to move the bikes closer to the wall or farther from the wall. We put 2 street glides in ours and it would be no different with two ultras. I prefer the etrack set up cause I can move the bikes forward or back as I see fit and I can take the chocks out and not have holes in the floor and still strap things down in the etrack.

we put our condor chocks in at a slight angle. then we use our harbor freight jack to slide 1 bike over slightly. this gives handlebar, bags, engine guards plenty of clearance. and plenty of room to load the rest of our stuff.lol
so at the drawing above, the first chock would be pointing at about 10 and 4 oclock instead of 9 and 3.
the push the back end up
the 2nd bike goes in easier that way. we also have e track on the floor
