Default Pin hole in rear brake line

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all of your posts, I have learned my share of great tech tips. Anyway, the rear brake line in my 05 Ultra Electra Glide developed a pin size hole and squirts brake fluid before the switch. Does anyone has a DIY? I have the service manual, but I would like to know if there is a way to run a flex braided hose as opposed to buy a direct replacement from the dealer.

A DIY or any tips would help a lot, thanks in advance,

look it up at dennis kirk , I just did my fronts [longer for bars] but I like the harder break lever so much better, and the bike stops quicker now. I will be changing rear as well. I got the drag specialties extreme response.

Cool, I'll take a look at Dennis Kirk. Anyone would like to share tips to see an alternative replacement to the factory brake line? Or how connect the brake switch if using alternative braided brake line?

Thanks again,

~K

Use your phone book, look up hydraulic hose in the yellow pages. Go to one of them and have the hose made up for you custom. They've got the lines and fittings you need.

You're really not likely to save any money, and darn sure not any time, compared to going with the oem hard line.

Don't scrmp. Just buy the OE or quality aftermarket part. Forget this DIY foolishness.

The Drag line is a little longer and is braided; At least the one I helped a deployed buddy out with was.
Tips? I scrunched some tinfoil over the ends as I routed them to the master cyl. & caliper to make sure nothing got in the system. The brake switch in an intgral part of the line IIRC.
Pretty easy job.

Drag Specialties has decent stuff in my experience. Although I will say I prefer OEM when I can get it.
