Default sticky tape

Does anyone have some real sticky2 sided tape, what brand? I bought a flush mount fuel cap and originally had sticky tape under the trim ring. Just like when you buy chrome dash pieces, you peel the plastic off the sticky tape and press. I need just enough to do the 4" trim ring. Anyone have extra?

Gorilla, ride on up. Got from Menard's small roll. Got it for the side shield under seat.

I use black silicone to put all my trip rings and pieces. Just put a small dab of silicone on your finger and scrape a small amount is various spots around the trim piece. Kinda like where you'd put the 2-sided tape. Holds good and the silicone doesn't show.

It doesn't get any better than this. It's what the auto industry uses for trim, badges, etc. I've used it, and it's a bugger to remove,

3M (38582) 1/4" x 5' Exterior Attachment Tape

I like the idea of black silicone, I am going to see if I can buy a small tube from Autozone. If not, looks like that 3m tape is what most are using. Thanks for all the replies so far.

Another vote for the 3m tape. It's what is used on the GoPro mounts, it don't come off without some work.....

Can't remember what I used for the trim spear on my Road King nacelle but reckon Gorilla Glue tape would more than suffice. This was before I learned of GG tape
