Default Highway Footpeg Setup

I was seeing if I could get some advice on the mounting kit for some footpegs I'm probably going to buy. My floorboards, shifter, grips and brake cover go along with the scheme of these footpegs which is why I've chosen them.

I'm 5-09 and am going to need an adjustable mounting kit. I'm thinking of getting this kit.

Does anyone have this setup and if so do you like it?
Is there a better way to go as far as mounting kits go?

I'd appreciate any help you guys could give me. Thanks a lot in advance.
BTW, this is an awesome forum for newbies!! Thanks again

I have the exact same set up you do on my RG. I've been looking at the adjustable pegs for quite sometime. I have a big ride this weekend and will probably buy them and put them on today. Thanks for the reminder.

I have those mounting brackets on my Electra Glide along with the skull series footpegs. They are pretty comfortable and you can move them around some on the engine guard to fit you. I am 6'1" with long legs, though. If possible, you might want to try and sit on a bike that has something similar first.

California allows lane splitting, so I run 'em on the inside of the crashbars. Standard chrome mounts.

You know I think I would look at the kuryakyn stuff. At least with them you can move the clevis so if you want to put the peg up you can. With those you can't. Of course, when I bought mine I didn't know that. Not dissing Harley just more efficient stuff out there.

Dax....first of all...I agree with ya on this being an EXCELLENT forum for 'newbies'! They've been very tolerant of my questions too...I really APPRECIATE that!

While at work today....I was 'surfin' looking at the same things for my EGS......pegs n mounts. Ive decided on the same mount as you.....just with this peg.

In time I may change to the matching brake and shifter pads

Brake - http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Shifter - http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

I like the way these look. Im not much on 'chrome'....not yet anyway. That's why I bought the EGS. Time MAY change....so I figure I'll start at the bottom...get set up to cruise in comfort....and make the 'serious' decisions later on.

If you're comfortable with your choice....by all means I think they're GREAT!

Laterz
