Question for people that went from the 103 to M8, either 107 or 114 - how would you describe vibrations/smoothness differences, after getting used to the bike? Is there a noticeable difference, or they pretty much on par?

 

A friend of mine bought a 2017 Road Glide (M8) right after they came out. We went for a ride and switched bikes for the afternoon. I can tell you that it is incredibly smooth and quiet. I almost considered trading up for one, but talked myself out of it. I know now that I can't ride it again, or I might lose control!!!

 

I have a 103 on a Road Glide Ultra, my roommmate has a Road King special with the 107. The M8 motor is incredibly smooth. Although I have changed the cams in mine and had it tuned the Road King being lighter and with the newer motor is faster by far. Still not enough for me to change cause I love my bike but it's definitely a nice powertrain.

 

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of Although the new Sport Glide looks interesting, but it might be too much of a downgrade. Christmas might be coming early...
