I am going to install a CB on my '18 Limited. Can anyone tell me how to remove the current switchpak without damage and install a new one with the ptt switch?

 

I do not have an 2018, on my 2016 I switched them both out... unintended. If its the same, after you get the clamshells out of the way theres a clip that circles the bar and holds the switchpack in place, pry the tab up with a small screwdriver, toothpick, or something. It is small and does not require much effort, and if memory serves me right you come in from the top. Check out this part number from an HD site, part# 71500248B and look at the instructions on their site which is also there... I did not, and I was dicking around with the switchpack and pulled too hard and it snapped open too quickly and I yanked the ribbon wire in two. So I put a set of lit ones on and when I added the CB the PTT button was there and waiting. Read those instruction lol it was easy after that. I do not know if this link will work, if it does it is to the instructions... Also, pay attention to how the wires are tucked away/routed and to the clutch switch and front brake switch that are also housed in those clamshells.
