Default bottoming out with pro. 944 ul

I have been reading about the progressive 944 ul I would like to lower the bike another inch primarily for looks. I would like some feedback from people who actually have owned or ridden on the 944 ul's any issues bottoming out, were they an upgrade over stock. I understand the physics of the shock and fully understand that more travel is better ride. thanks for the testimonials.

Looking for the exact answer too.... prob should have searched before I started a new thread. I just picked up the 01' FLHTCUI. Have you had your 00' for a while? I'm a shovel guy and this is my first time with any other motor. Plans are to upgrade the cam with a S&S kit that includes a new pump/plate/tensioner/cams. As for the EFI.... still doing my research. Thinking about the Zipper's upgrade kit that replaces the MM unit.

I would not buy them over again if I had the choice.I know the quality is better than stock but I can honestly say the ride is no better than stock with my 1 inch Burley lowering kit.
