Default 17 Road Glide Ultra Fairing Alignment

Made the jump this week and bought my first new bike. Got a great deal on a 2017 RG Ultra. First fixed fairing bike as well. Rented one on vacation last summer and was sold on the handling over my 09 EGC. Anyway, it seems when you have the handlebars squared up straight, the fairing looks like it's turned to the right just a bit. Anyone experience this on their bike? Thanks in advance. Mike

I don't see how that is possible. On my 3rd Road Glide and haven't seen anything like what you are describing. But hope you will post pictures.

Not on an RG, but on another bike. It is most likely the bars that are out a little, rather than the fairing IMHO. It's new - take it to your dealer to get sorted, or at least checked over. The bars need to be released in their clamps, also the clamps themselves slackened, to enable them to be trued.

It's not a significant amount out. I'm in Ohio so can't take it for a ride to really check. I'll wait till spring and ride it and see how it sits going straight down the road and address it then I guess.
Another issue I fixed already was I noticed the tour pak harness going along the left side of the seat was kind of hanging out of place. Pulled the seat and noticed the barbed hold down on the large connector was never inserted into it's receiving hole. You can tell it had never been inserted from the factory because the plastic barbs were untouched. Tried to place it and it wouldn't reach the hole. Fortunately my brother has a 2016 limited and I was able to look at his harness orientation coming from the tank . They had the two large harness branches twisted at that position and that's why it wouldn't reach . Had to pull all the connectors from the ECU, untwist and re-route the branch properly and all was good. How something like that passed their quality inspection is beyond be. Just hoping it's not a sign if things to come.... Mike

I tried to think of a way this might be possible so went down and looked at my RG. Besides of the possibility of the bars being out a bit, maybe the lower brackets need tweaked a bit? Referring to the support clamps on the engine guard. I have never removed a fairing completely on a RG but if you were to release the pressure on the bracket on each side it is possible that one was secured incorrectly? IDK, just trying to figure this out. Perhaps post pictures of what it is you are looking at.

It's much more evident when sitting on the bike. But I think you can see it.
