Default Catalytic converters on touring bikes

What year did Harley start putting catalytic converters on non-California touring bikes? I am looking at buying an older model Ultra Classic and would rather buy one without the converter.

AFAIK the catalytic converter was first used on the 2010 Touring models. I had a 2009 FLHTCU that did not have any catalytic converter.
I just looked at the parts finder ... 2010 was the start of the cat in all domestic touring models .... https://www.dodgecityharleydavidson....0)//EXHAUST_SY
Part #27

Odd, because I remember hearing 2010 in all touring bikes, yet I recall them in mufflers in 2006?

I know I purchased an 09 header for the simple fact it didn't have a cat tho.

A header with the CAT removed is only $100.

Is this what you're thinking of? Part #18?

I don't remember anything about the 2006 ... maybe because I went from a 2002 to a 2009 model. Thanks for bringing it up ... I learned something new today.

Was 2012 the first year for the Catalytic Converter in the header pipe?
Prior to that didn't the Catalytic Converter come in the mufflers in California some time about 2010.

I may be wrong, I am usually when it comes to time & dates.

Touring bikes 2010 was the first year in the head pipe. I bought a head pipe that had the cat removed from Ebay for 100.00 and spent 3 hours swapping it out. I also cleaned the bike while apart.
