I don't have a Road Glide, but take a look at this guy's kit if you are looking for a solution option on wind noise: https://www.glideairdeflectorsystem.com/
No affiliation other than I purchased his deflectors for my 15 Ultra and I am very happy with the result. Cut the wind buffeting with a helmet on considerably. Nice guy to chat with and the deflectors on my Ultra are not too obvious to look at. Nice.

I've also had both batwing and shark-nose - currently ride a 2012 Road King with a 2015 Road Glide Front Fairing on it.
Another positive that I didn't anything of until I witnessed my buddy riding his 2013 Road Glide directly in front of me hitting a deer at 45mph. It broke of the right turn signal and a small part of the fairing, but the bike frame absorbed the impact and he didn't go down - only a small wabble. On a batwing bike, I strongly believe the hit would have sent him off the road with the impact being absorbed by the front end/handle bars...
