I am going double dark with this next tire change. I'm just getting the miles out of what was on the bike when I bought it. I'm going to a 150 rear tire on front. Hopefully the wider contact patch helps.

Hmmm....I personally wouldn't do that. I bought my 2000 just as it hit 10,000 mi. I couldn't figure out why the low speed handling sucked so bad. I took it straight to an Indy for the 10,000 mi service. He called me and told me that it had a 150 rear tire on the back being rubbed by the belt and a 140 rear tire on the front. He put a new 130 on the front and moved the 140 to the back and all was good.

Mine takes a 180 in back and 130 in front. Going to a 150 up front and a 205 CT. There is plenty of room in front and back for both. I've done my homework on that part of it.

Look into the one that they put on TriGlides. It’s made by Olin..

I didn't say it wouldn't fit. I believe your owners manual says something bout "death" being possible when using a "rear" tire on the front. All I know is mine handled like chit at low speed. Doesn't anyone make a "front" 150? Obviously, it is your bike so do whatever you like.

the same manual uses the same wording for sidecars, trailers and overloaded saddlebags. How many well fed and overloaded folks have you seen out and about casually warned about "death" ?? My tire choice at time of replacement was not the question I brought up. I guess you've also read a bunch of obituaries stating that "the poor soul died in a fiery crash after installing a rear tire on the front of his motorcycle" I guess you don't realize that when an owners manual is written a team of lawyers scrub it to find any wording or holes that can be used in court to cost them money. My bike is having these issues with HD branded Dunlops in stock sizes, which is all together different than your 13 year older example. Different frame etc.... your issue was the slap *** that owned your bike previously installing a tire that contacted other moving parts causing a low speed issue. I'm having problems going in a straight line down a 4 lane Hwy. Good day sir.....

Whatever!! I was just trying to help you avoid any problems. It is actually an 18 year old bike and the issue had absolutely nothing to do do with the belt rubbing the Rear 150...it was the "rear" tire on the front. Do whatever you like as I don't really give a flyin F...what you do. Good luck!

An 18yr old bike, which is 13yrs older than mine, was what I stated. Thanks for your comments, entertaining if nothing else.
