My 2010 Ultra goes in for brake recall Thursday and then my 2006 Ford Ranger goes in next for airbag recall. Spend all this money only to have to deal with this kind of aggravation. I don't remember dealing with this kind of thing years ago when vehicles were priced reasonable.

I flushed it and still no change. Decided to take it to dealer for recall and I think I just got the big screw. Deal says ABS unit is bad and it will cost me 1800.00$. WTF! I have owned Harleys for many years and spent a frigin fortune on this one. HD you suck, you know this is a documented screw up and you are screwing me over.
s

your dealer is screwing you too. My dealer is charging me 900$ for a new abs module, rear hoses to the caliper, and a full flush. and mine is not even covered by the recall(2012). The recall should at least cover the flushing.

nothing. My 2012 is in the shop right now waiting on a new abs module for this exact problem. I have only owned it for 9 months so I am not responsible for the poor maintenance.

You mean when Ford did the math and decided that people dying in Pintos would cost less to pay off than a recall on a known exploding fuel tank (true fact - look it up) was a better way to do business? I'm not exactly certain those were the glory days.

I didn't read through all the posts here so not sure if this has been mentioned . I went to the dealer today to pick up a new master cylinder cover for my hyd clutch , also picked up some DOT4 , grabbed a silver bottle labeled as premium , parts guy said I don't want that , it's for the 08-13's only , said I just need the regular stuff for my 14 , so there's that.

You went too long (7) years and the ABS unit locked up from crudd. That's why your flushing didn't do anything.

If you want to be mad at someone look in the mirror. The owners manual states the service is needed every two years.

Wow.
I am beside myself with all the self righteous comments about owners "fault" the brake systems failed because of improper maintenance. It's like a barrage of koolaid drinkers coming to rescue of the MOCO. Have any of these defender's even considered that the MOCO was nothing shot of criminally liable in terms of foreseeability? Like, really? Like you guys don't think it's completely foreseeable on the MOCO's part that end users may NOT follow the manufacturers recommended fluid change intervals? Cause to build a system that completely FAILS due to nothing more than improper maintenance, is reprehensible. At best.
