ABS Brake Recall

I recently took my 2011 CVO Road Glide to the dealer for rear brake issue, while attempting to brake my pedal would be real hard. I could push through it and it would be ok for a little while the get hard again. Bike only has 12000 miles on it. I came across the recent recall in regards to the flushing of the dot4 fluid. I flushed it and still no change. Decided to take it to dealer for recall and I think I just got the big screw. Deal says ABS unit is bad and it will cost me 1800.00$. WTF! I have owned Harleys for many years and spent a frigin fortune on this one. HD you suck, you know this is a documented screw up and you are screwing me over.
your dealer is screwing you too. My dealer is charging me 900$ for a new abs module, rear hoses to the caliper, and a full flush. and mine is not even covered by the recall(2012). The recall should at least cover the flushing.

I didn't read through all the posts here so not sure if this has been mentioned . I went to the dealer today to pick up a new master cylinder cover for my hyd clutch , also picked up some DOT4 , grabbed a silver bottle labeled as premium , parts guy said I don't want that , it's for the 08-13's only , said I just need the regular stuff for my 14 , so there's that.

Wow.
I am beside myself with all the self righteous comments about owners "fault" the brake systems failed because of improper maintenance. It's like a barrage of koolaid drinkers coming to rescue of the MOCO. Have any of these defender's even considered that the MOCO was nothing shot of criminally liable in terms of foreseeability? Like, really? Like you guys don't think it's completely foreseeable on the MOCO's part that end users may NOT follow the manufacturers recommended fluid change intervals? Cause to build a system that completely FAILS due to nothing more than improper maintenance, is reprehensible. At best.
