Monotubes vs lowering springs

Monotubes vs lowering springs
I’ve got a 2017 RGS, I have a 21 inch enforcer on order. I wanna lower the front an inch when I install the chrome front end and wheel, I’ve been looking at different options, Harley’s website has the oem “low” springs and dampner for 159 dollars, but it says it’s not for 21 inch wheels in the notes for some reason, I can do progressive lowering springs for about 100 dollars, or monotubes for 450 dollars. I’ve never ridden progressive before, but I really like the stock Showa suspension it handles quite good and rides nice. Im not opposed to doing the monotubes, I’m just wondering if they’re 450 dollars better than the showa dual bending valve. Thanks for the input. I’m also wondering if I did monotubes could I take the showa stuff and put it in my brothers 2014 ultra? The forks are the same size diamter, it should just drop in right?
