How do we inspect the compensating sprocket assembly cover?
 

I could not find in the service manual any guidance for inspecting the compensating sprocket assembly cover... the part with the springs in it. How the heck do we know if it's good or bad? I can rotate one of the springs inside with my finger. Is that normal? Here's a video
