The cpk has a connector.. as far as the fuel lines he says they all checked out good also injectors ... fuel pressure is good .. he's saying it's an ignition problem some where..only in the rear cylinder.. believe me I'm very upset at the situation.. I'm very close to just snatching my bike outta there.. but.. I paid already paid for the tts and dyno.

 

He's ruling out the tranny and anything mechanical.. saying it's electrical

 

New battery will fix a lot of funny electrical happenings.

How many miles on the bike? Original motor and tranny?

Wondering what electrical changes happen in 6th gear.

 

Approx 27k on bike original tranny and engine 510 bolt on cams .. I agree about the battery solving all sorts of strange problems although it's fairly new

 

The bike knows it is 6th Does it do more than just light a light on dash? I assumed no, but I just assumed. Why would the bike care if it is in 6th?

 

No lights no codes nothing.. I'm thinking the same u are .. only explanation is load is different in 6th.. that's what was explained to me

 

What I don't get is in 5th at 95 should be sucking more fuel then lower RPM 6th gear. I am wondering what the cams are doing. If I am remember 510 is a somewhat mild cam. Probably does want RPMs up a little though, maybe 6th is to low of RPMs, creating a knock. I am realy just blowing smoke though.

 

Yes,510 is a very mild cam.. when kicked into 6th gear the rpms naturally drop at that point the bike is getting too much fuel to burn. Thats how a buddy recently explained

After speaking with this guy today... I am convinced he's playing games with me.. I am convinced that for 3 weeks my bike has been there he hasn't spent much time on it..
Im showing up in the morning and taking my bike.. I spoke with some people today they told me it was a bad tune that this guy didn't spend the time to do it right. Soooo I'll take the loss and try another tuner..
