Default How much do you trust your jiffy stand?

Do you trust it enough for a 240# rider to stand on the footboard and step through when you have a tourpak on the back?

I'd trust the jiffy stand a helluva lot more than the footboard mount in a situation like that.

The only issue I have is throwing out my hip while throwing my leg over with that pak on there.

I would be much more worried about the ground the jiffy stand rests on than the integrity of the stand. Also, standing the bike up off the stand fully loaded with a large passenger is a real bear.
I generally stand the bike up straight and brace it while the boss climbs on.

The Jiffy stand is incredibly sketchy..It freaks me out daily. I work at a shop where we sell all kinds of different bikes, and the Harley jiffy stand is by far the sketchiest..

It seams sketchy but it's not. It's a tried and true design that has worked well for a long time. When properly deployed with the weight of the bike on it, it's not going anywhere. I trust it.

The MOCO has only been in the business of manufacturing motorcycles for 115 years. I realize that many have lost faith in the MOCO. But. I still have faith in the "jiffy stand":. As it is the only connection between the motorcycle and the planet earth, I believe the only mistake is between motorcycle and said operator and planet earth. As I have had a problem with that arrangement in my short riding life. Nothing new. My 1964 DuoGlide jiffy stand Still gives me problems. If anyone has a solution. They could bank mucho dinero.
