Hi guys,
haven’t hangaround at this forum for a while, but how on earth it’s possible that after posting a reply yesterday, it’s still on page 1. Occaisonly it would at least be at page 3 without any reply. Did everyone move to the rushmore and m8 chat?

Ok mate, what is up? What would you like to talk about?

Would you like to have a penpal? Okay, I volunteer to be a penpal.

Or maybe nowadays it is called a typepal or something like that.

What is on your mind? Figure I know the answer to everything in this entire world. You met the right guy. Now, what is a question?

HDForums has become a disorganized amorphous blob where anyone can post anything anywhere, and the moderators dont enforce any discipline in this regard.

The result is that someone with a 2017 or 2018 touring bike can post a question about footpegs in the M8 forum, which technically is an engine forum, when it should have been posted in the touring forum.

When I call this out, other members give me a beat down because "hey f*cker, its an M8 bike". OK, fine.

Its a complete mess.

I also noticed a drastic decrease in posts over the last several years. It indeed seems that many people have stopped contributing, which is too bad... I always got tons of great ideas here.

On on the flip side, I’ve saved a lot of money on upgrades!

Agreed, and I stepped away for a year or two at one point. I was completing a café racer and posting in the Sportster section. Got so tired of reading negative posts … dudes just trashing others for what they were building or modifying. Unfortunate because there is much good info to be found on this site.

Perhaps it's just a reflection of the industry in general sales are down enthusiasm is down Les Riders etc.

I do agree if you want to know anything that's wrong or negative just come scour The Forum.

I think the moderators blew it big when touring was separated from Rushmore. And now it’s split again with M8. It’s not like I can’t talk with and share a lot of parts with my buddy and his m8. Maybe it’s a conspiracy driven by HD to make us think we gotta buy new rides.

this should be the best. Spending less behind the keybord and more behind the (steering) bars.
