I would not trust any of the clowns who might respond with an answer to your question.....including myself. I installed the Baker and bought the recommended rotor. Call Baker, they are the only people you should be asking. Good luck. My Baker has been great for past 10,000 miles.

Clarification … somewhat
This should have been posted in the Primary/Transmission/Driveline/Clutch section that Baker monitors more closely, but hopefully they will see it and respond with their latest findings.
Background ( as I understand it ):
When Baker came out with their compensator the 30041-08A was the current rotor available for purchase ( it was an update to the 30041-08, I do not remember the difference.)
Their compensator is a replacement for 2007 touring models an up.
From 2007 to 2010 the touring models used a rotor (I believe was the 40356-07) that had an integral spring-pack.
That rotor can not be used with their compensator.
They state in their instructions that any replacements using that rotor (with the integral spring-pack) need to have the rotor replace with the then (and now currently available) 30041-08A.
So the question in this case is, can you use the 30041-08 that you have, or do you need to purchase the 30041-08A. That question has come up often, not only with the Baker compensator replacement, but with the SE compensator as well.
For your 30041-08,

Although HOGNOT did properly suggested you should contact Baker for their current findings, purchasing something you do not need is a waste of money. If HOGNOT was replacing his/hers original 2009 rotor then he/she was right in purchasing the 30041-08A, but if he/she was replacing a failed SE replacement compensator where the rotor had already been replaced, then I guess he/she is right, he/she is a clown.
But then again, according to HOGNOT , I am a clown for responding.

For future reference - take a few minutes to search. I just searched "30041-08 baker" (without quotes) and 4 threads came up. A quick browse of the threads found posts from Mark at Baker saying their comp works with either 30041-08 or 30041-08A. All done in about 3 minutes.
