Default Beware Clearview shields buyers.

Stay away from Clearview shields.
Poor quality, poor fit n finish, & no customer satisfaction if you have an issue with the above mentioned.

The one I bought for my CVO 2 months ago was fine.
Fit and finish were good.
I had a question about the shield and called them up. The guy I talked to was polite, knowledgeable and even double check an answer with the owner.
Also we don't in general put much stock in folks who join only to complain about something on their first post.
A member with a bunch of posts who we know is reasonably knowledgeable and an OK guy we believe, you, not so much.....

I just put mine on 2 days ago. Mine is flawless. Exchanging the hardware from the original to the Clearview was a bit of a pain but that wasn't any fault of Clearview. Replacing hardware on any windshield( Road King anyways) would be the same. I got the 21" recurve with xtra width and bottom length with the vent. I don't have enough miles on it to review how well the recurve or the vent works but I can say that the shield itself is a high quality product. 2007 Road King

I also like the fact that you can rain x it, or wax it, and use pledge on it. They recommend it on the install sheet.

You didn't have them send you a shield meant for a Road king, not a switchback, which is what i have. They admitted the shield was for a Roadking, not a Switchback. The two shields are not the same, i know because i have a Roadking. They have since retooled for the Dyna Switchback specifically, but I can't get the owner to reply. He even told me to send it back so he could look at it. He's had the shield since Monday, no reply from him after repeated attempts by me to contact him. Needless to say, I'm angry, very angry.
Not my 1st post & the Roadking shield is not the same as the switchback. Who do you think you are, you don't know me or the situation.

I understand that you may have gotten a shield for the wrong bike and it doesn't fit. That's a different situation than just stating poor quality.
Your opening post doesn't even describe that situation or what kind of bike you have.

Default Poor quality

My shield is poor quality. Poor edge finish, poor hole placement, besides trying to pass off the wrong shield and insist that it's the correct one. A week has passed, I've left numerous emails and phone messages. No reply. He must not care. The problem is, he has my shield. I'm out a shield and the money I spent for it, I'm being ripped off. Step in my shoes, than you can judge.

You know I think this is the first time someone has joined the forum to grind an axe with a vendor that most of us have never had a problem with.

I'm kidding, this has been done to death. Roadhog, it ain't the end of the world. Ask for a refund if the quality is that bad and buy something else. There's no crying in the "Harley Bad ***" world. Be thankful this is the problem you have to focus on and solve; there are much bigger ones out there.

That's unfortunate. I'm very pleased with mine on RK for 3 or 4 years now, but never had any issues so no experience w/customer service other than order fulfillment. Fit RK hardware nicely as I recall, and finish seems good and looks nice on bike. Hopefully they resolve your issue.
