Corbin Classic Solo - tears in vinyl?
I bought a new Corbin Classic Solo and pillion this spring. Yesterday when I took the seat off to wash the bike and apply conditioner to the seat, I noticed it is starting to tear. I believe this is caused by the seat coming in contact with the fender bolts when installing the seat (it rubs). (see attached photos). Has anyone else had this issue?

I seriously doubt that Corbin is going to do anything for you.
I damaged a brand new Corbin when I dropped it on the floor. Although the damage was very minor, they
said it would need a whole new cover made.
I found a local upholstery guy who came to my place and repaired it with some sort of bondo type stuff, then he used
a grain pattern on it when it was not fully dried, painted it to match, and it came out pretty nice!
They make kits for this you can do it yourself. IN my case it cost me $40, money well spent.
Also this is the exact reason I had my Corbin solo made with ALL Mercedes leather throughout.
They normally use vinyl on the sides and rear portions and only use leather on the seat section.
They tried to talk me out of doing that, saying that the leather will not hold up as good as the vinyl, especially on the sides.
In my opinion, leather is better, and will not rip as easily as the vinyl will.
You can use conditioner on a leather scuff, and make it almost disappear, but not so much with vinyl IMO.

I've had the same seat on and off my '14 Ultra Limited numerous times and my seat shows no signs of coming in contact with the bolts. You line up the rear seat bracket with the fender bracket and lock the front of the seat down. OP, do you feel the product is defective in some way and that's why you think Corbin should cover the damage?
