I certainly looks nicer than the current version....
I'm at the point where I just want a freakin' ipad mini shoved in there.

if the start up time is really cut in half, that would be awesome. I hate how long it takes for the nav to load when i need to find an address

Easier to use is nice, but I hope it performs better. On my 14, on a trip from Dallas to MI, I deviated from the route and stopped at a dealership in MO that was right off the freeway. When I got back on the freeway, the thing never did recognize where I was for the rest of the time I was in MO . It kept telling me I was on the side streets, even though I was on the interstate.

I hope the new for "2019 INFOTAINMENT BOOM BOX GTS" is is just one of many changes.
Like in 2014 when the Rushmores came out. How about a 114 engine optional, a new frame
with improved suspension, or am I just dreaming?

Seems like a big improvement. I was incredibly let down by the 6.5 boom on my 18 street glide. The navigation isn't great, the lack of full bluetooth functionality and full Sirius integration without shelling out hundreds or even thousands to Harley is a major fail.

I'm bored at work, so I spent some time trolling around HD's site.
Biggest changes I noticed in the touring line:
  • The new boom radio
  • new colors, obviously
  • the "regular" models (SG, RG, RK, UC) still have the 107 motor
  • the "special" models (SGS, RGS, RKS, LTD, LTDLow) have the 114
  • trikes have the 114
  • some new stripe patterns (finally) on the LTD.

You would think there would be an update to make older Boom systems compatible. But I guess I must be dreaming.

This is an upgrade to the 2019 4.5 inch units. The 2019 4.5 inch units appear to be the same as the 2014-2018. Soooo....I'm saying there's a chance!

Best,
Tom
