Default Countersteer on these larger big bikes

Looking at the Ultra Limited or the SGS and wondering how much countersteer plays into your riding ability on these larger bikes (I'm coming from smaller sport bikes).

Not exactly sure what you're asking.
Yes, Baggers react to countersteering.
Do baggers handle the same as a sport bike, nope.

They tend to like to go straight. In turns, if you let off, they quit turning. So take it easy and if you go in too fast, unless there is a place to go, don't back off . Just hope the traction is going to hold.

Baggers are a whole different critter than sport bikes, that being said counter steering is how they are turned at speed and a parking lot speeds keep the front wheel straight when applying the front brake.

Huh? How about, feather the clutch in the friction zone, apply rear brake, and steer and look where you want to go.

Edit: Oh, yeah...at speed, big touring bikes like to go straight and stay straight up. Even though some people won’t admit they are doing it, if you don’t countersteer your not going to be able the lean it down quickly for a turn.

If you really study how you are balancing a bike...you are countersteering. Try doing a track stand, like on a bicycle, and you will find you are making slight correction in the opposite direction to keep the bike up.

Its the same principle on any bike. With Harley baggers, you just have to learn the limits on lean angles, weight and handling.
