Default Passenger floor board mounting

The frame has 4 holes, are they all tapped for the same size bolt?

Start with a 10 24, in each hole, then a 10 32 and work your way up, going into each hole until you have your answer. Then report back with your findings.

I don’t remember how many holes there wee, but on my 2009, no they weren’t.

I believe in later years there was at least one more that was threaded on the touring bikes.

Yea, thought I would try the easy way out and ask here. Don't do well lying on the floor (Arthritis), trying to see with bifocals.
The bottom hole (4th) down from the top looks threaded but I could not get the bolt to start.

I don't think the lowest hole on my 04 is thread tapped. That one, as I recall, just held the nub on the bracket that keeps the board flat and level.

If you use other thread holes, you might want to repaint the holes that held bolts before, or that you ever run the bolt through, just to prevent rust from getting started on the exposed steel.

That's what I was afraid of, the 4th hole down wasn't tapped. Guess that's what I get for my wife buying Chinese knockoffs.
Good point about painting the holes, thanks.

3/8-16 is the size on my 2009 FLHTCU for the bolts ( two on each side ) that attach the brackets to the frame ... The oem bolts have different size heads to accommodate the "notched" ( lower ) mounting bolt on each side

Got a thread tap? Wouldn't be overly hard to tap it yourself. Even if you have to buy a thread tap at the hardware store, they aren't expensive.
