Default Factory SAE connector pigtail for battery tender...will it handle air compressor?

Has anybody ever connected and ran a small portable air compressor (like the type you would keep in your saddle bag for flat tires) hooked up to the factory SAE connector on the left side of the bike used for the trickle charger? This would be in conjuction with a cig lighter accessory plug.

I don't know what fused circuit plug is connected to nor the fuse amperage size, so I'm wondering if the fuse would hold up to the load?

I think the tender pigtails come with a 7.5 amp fuse. I bought a heavy pigtail and it has a 15 amp fuse which handles most anything... hope that helps.... goldie

It's always worked for me for tire pump and phone charge. I never gave it a thought.

They come with a 7.5 amp fuse, that is cutting it mighty close.
I put a little bigger fuse in mine, and have run a Slime Digital Compressor a couple of times with no problem.

I have a Slime air compressor and it works fine plugged into the cigarette lighter.

I use a Dynaplug Mini Pro inflator to air up when on long trips, and once to repair a flat. No issues using that pigtail.

Another option is when you need to use your portable air compressor, just attach it directly to the battery. Maybe purchase a quick release seat hardware kit (it's really just a fastener). Takes just a few seconds to remove your seat. Other companies besides HD offer a similar fastener.
